The Journal of Structural Bioinformatics (JSB) is committed to provide a depository of high quality scientific material and information, via sound and thorough publishing practices, superior and vigorous peer-reviewing, common sense and minimal cost for both the author and the reader. As a matter of fact JSB will remain an open source journal forever, thus ensuring the high visibility of the authors’ work and distribution of information to all readers worldwide. JSB will cover all areas under the structural bioinformatics umbrella. This means that JSB will publish articles related to the following areas of study.
-analysis and prediction of the three-dimensional structure of biological macromolecules
-prediction of the three-dimensional structure of proteins
-computer aided drug design
-high throughput virtual screening of compounds
-lead optimisation
-homology/comparative modelling
-algorithm design
-software related to the field of structural bioinformatics
-3D folding evaluation and assessment
-comparisons of overall folds and local motifs
-principles of molecular folding
-evolution
-antibody structure and engineering
-antibody drug conjugates
-binding interactions
-structure/function relationships,
-computational methods (molecular dynamics, monte carlo simulations, etc)
We aim to deliver innovative solutions to facilitate our authors’ publicity in the global scientific community and, most importantly, we provide our authors and readers with confidence. The journal will publish research articles, methodology papers, reviews and commentaries/letters to the editor.
The journal serves the novel aim of worldwide unrestricted access to research publications. JSB supports the Open Access Initiative (OAI) in academic publishing. We believe that subscription-based journals constrain the flow of scientific knowledge by limiting the visibility and impact of published works. Indexing and retrieval of all scientific papers is top priority. The current JSB editorial board is very eager to continue actively the quality work laid down by JSB founders. Our team is eager and very willing to provide the best editorial service and support for our authors. It is our mission to devote our energy and our competencies solely to the success of this journal.
Yours Sincerely
